The main assignment of this department is to conduct General Election/Bye Election of both SLA & Parliament.   Besides at present all kinds of allied works  viz  from  preparation   and revision of  Electoral Rolls,  EPIC,  etc. are  also being  done  by this  department.   In addition, receiving of allotment for  various purposes,  sub-allotment of  funds - adjustment of funds - preparation of budget are also amongst vital duties. Moreover E.V.Ms has added to our existing assignments.
