Nature of work:                    

 

Judicial Munshikhana is one of the oldest and vital sections of Collectorate playing pivot role in the General Administration since British India. The section deals with a series of important files and matters such as :

            

                                    1.    Sanctioning of cases under Arms Act.

                                                2.    Development of Executive Magistrate for Law & Order duties.

                                                3.    Executive Inquiry into police firing.

                                                4.    Correspondence with Govt. for empowering WBCS Officers

                                                       under Section 20 & 144 Cr.P.C.

                                                5.    Appointment of P.P. Spl. P.Ps., Addl. P.Ps.

                                                6.    Preparation of Roster of Executive Magistrates for 

                                                        i)    Conduction inquest over UD Cases.

                                                        ii)    Recording dying declaration and

                                                        iii)    Maintaining law and order.

                                                7.    Jail Administration and Tender Committee.

                                                8.    Performance report of A.P.P's.

                                                9.    E.C. Act Cases.

                                                10.  Forwarding of applications to RNT for verification and acceptance of titles

                                                       of newspapers of any periodicity and authentication of declaration

                                                       submitted by Publisher, Printer, and Editor under Press Act.

                                                11.   Withdrawal of Cases.

                                                12.    Preparation of bills against professional/Retainer fees.

                                                13.    Matters relating to premature release and parole.

                                                14.    Lottery.

                                                15.    Preparation  of bills relating to (a) Prisoner diet charge (b) Medical bills

                                                         against conducting Post mortem Exam. by M.Os (c) Carrying charges of

                                                          UD cases and Doms.

                                                16.    Fair and Festivals.

                                                17.    Army Matters.

                                                18.    Processing and servicing of summons to Govt. employees.
