TREASURY-II DEPARTMENT

 

Creation :- Hooghly Treasury - II started function w.e.f. April 1987 as a result of the bifurcation of Hooghly Treasury in the Year 1987.
Computerization :- Treasury works have been computerized with effect from 06/10/1998 and since then all functions of this treasury are being performed through the computer under host base system.
General Administration :- The General administration of the treasury is looked after by the Treasury Officer and Addl. Treasury Officers headed by the District Magistrate and Addl. District Magistrate.  Accountant, Addl. Accountant and Dy. Accountant act as the helping hands of the Treasury Officer and Addl. Treasury Officers.

Nature of Work :-

This treasury deals with 150 number of regular DDOs including Municipalities, Zilla Parishad, Panchyet Samities, DPSC, DRDA, FFDA and so on.  Excepting these, more than 200 schools, several NGOs and Chatuspaties also transact through this treasury.  Utmost care is effected in dealing with the payments and receipts of these DDOs.  It is also important to mention that entire receipts through the State Bank of India, Chinsurah Branch, is accounted in this treasury alone.  Following tables will depict the performances of the treasury in respect of the submission of monthly a/cs to AGWB, liaquidation of unadjusted advances, submission of broadsheet replies to audit paras and maintenance of schematic ledgers for PF/LF.
